I have been an avid reader of Nicholas Sparks since I was in college. And most of his novels have sad endings. But this one is different. Hindi ko pa nababasa yung mismong novel, but I am expecting some changes on this movie. Sabi nga nila, it was only based in the novel and not copied. Kasi mawawala na daw ng trabaho ang mga writers. It was starring Channing Tatum (John) a soldier who fall in love with a college student , Amanda Seyfried (Savannah) on a summer vacation. They need to be parted away because of their priorities but distance was never be a hindrance for their love. No internet, no mobile phones and snail mail was the only way of their communication. The twist was unexpected and heart breaking. Especially the scene where Savannah asked John if they will be seeing again and John didn’t answer back the opposite they used to be. But then love takes time. Long distance relationship is difficult for a couple especially if they just met only for 2 weeks. But the movie shows it didn't matter how long you have known each to make this work. Patience, trust and understanding are the keys for a true love. “True love comes to those who patiently wait.” I have read some goofs from this movie. Hindi ko din agad napansin kung hindi ko to nabasa. A magic pen, Alan suddenly disappeared from the movie etc. Maybe they are very excited for the ending hehehe. My rate: with goofs, 6 out of ten. Hindi smooth ang daloy ng eksena. Biglang may magbabago at may ibang mawawala. But for the story, 10. :)

Haven't watched the movie yet as sci-fi has been the priority but I still love to watch feel-good and drama. And I can't say no to a Nicholas Sparks-based movie.
