FROM PARIS WITH LOVE

Unahin natin si John Travolta, I don’t really like the way he looks now. Mataba at kalbo. But if you watch this movie, ipapakita nya dito kung gaano pa rin siya kagaling sa action. He can really bring himself. I’m impressed. Dahil dyan, labs na kita.

About the story, kung mahilig ka sa walang humpay na barilan, this is the right choice. Well, simple lang ang plot. They are secret agents from the CIA and their assignment is to stop the terrorist attack in Paris. Pero yung twist about the terrorists, kakaiba. It is pure action movie, baril dito, baril dun. Walang patumanggang barilan talaga.

The movie was nice. Yun nga lang ayoko ke John Travolta yung mataba at kalbo. Kaya please magdiet ka na!

HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS AND ALIENATE PEOPLE

At first I thought it was an animation kasi Alienate People ba naman. And I’m also quite surprised Kirsten Dunst was one of the characters. I haven’t heard about this movie last 2008 kaya feeling ko, it’s sort of a indie? Pero parang hindi naman.I dunno.

Simon Pegg was from Run Fatboy Run. He’s also good in comedy but not like Jim Carrey. Pis.

From the title, I thought about it many times kung ano dun yung How to Lose at anu dun yung Alienate People. Simon Pegg (Sidney Young) is an amateur writer who had a chance to work for an international magazine company. Makulit at mejo ogag ang dating nya but it is not barrier for him to achieve his dream. Though it is a comedy movie, it is also inspirational to those who want to become a famous writer. Hmmm but actually he just did one favor and boom! He became famous. So it is not an inspirational movie. :(

So hanggang ngayon di ko maisip kung bakit ganun yung title. Nakakaloka ehehehe.

Rate: 5 dahil sa title. 7 para kina Kirsten Dunst at Megan Fox. Hmmm 6 for the story itself.

Guys please enlighten me!!

P.S. I LOVE YOU

I just watched P.S. I Love You starring Hilary Swank and seems this is where the Bea Alonzo’s And I Love You So got the idea. Had a perfect married life then suddenly the guy passed away due to brain tumor. If I am not mistaken ganun din yung kina Bea.

Anyway, I admire Hilary Swank when I first watched her Boys Don’t Cry. Though bata pa siya dun as a lesbian lover, ang galing na nya sobra. I think her forte is on drama like her Million Dollar Movie. She made me cry on that movie. And she’s uber sexy pala hahaha. Hehehe

Back to the movie, it says “Till death do us part.” Masakit talaga pag nawalan ka ng mahal mo but still we really have to move on. Life must go on with or without them. I like Gerard Butler (Gerry) because from the moment he knew he is dying, he made some pakulo. He wants his wife (Hilary Swank) gradually accept the fact that he’s gone. I don’t want to spill it out so better watch it. That’s what you call a love story. And oo, kinikilig ako. (Sana ganun din yung magiging asawa ko eheheh) Also, the movie will teach you how to achieve the word MOVED ON.

This movie was way back 2007 pa. Sayang at hindi ko kaagad napanood to. Pero maganda talaga siya. I’ll give it a 9. Though her husband was gone, she now has a new love story. A happy ending.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter made the movie more outstanding. Wala pa din siyang kupas. I also watched his Public Enemy and he proved na kahit anong role kaya nyang panindigan. He is one of the Hollywood actors that I really admire.

At least sa Hollywood, they really choose the best who can portray the role. Neophyte man o hindi. BTW, sobrang putla ni Alice. Hindi healthy ang dating lolz.

You will never get bored while matching the movie (hindi pa dvd copy yung nakuha pero kita na very colorful ng setup). Nawili ako kina Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb, but if you will imagine them in reality, matatakot ka hehehe. Oh, before I forgot, aside from Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) made the movie a bit funnier. It is for you to see.

Then Alice and Underdog will get married. Joke lang. Underdog is a different movie heheh.

Shempre since Johnny Depp is my favorite, I’ll rate the movie as 9. Fair na yan ehehehe.

**Sorry nagiging spoiler na ko. Sa story lang ako nagfofocus and not in the technical aspects of the movie.

DEAR JOHN

I have been an avid reader of Nicholas Sparks since I was in college. And most of his novels have sad endings. But this one is different. Hindi ko pa nababasa yung mismong novel, but I am expecting some changes on this movie. Sabi nga nila, it was only based in the novel and not copied.

It was starring Channing Tatum (John) a soldier who fall in love with a college student , Amanda Seyfried (Savannah) on a summer vacation. They need to be parted away because of their priorities but distance was never be a hindrance for their love. No internet, no mobile phones and snail mail was the only way of their communication. The twist was unexpected and heart breaking. Especially the scene where Savannah asked John if they will be seeing again and John didn’t answer back the opposite they used to be. But then love takes time.

Long distance relationship is difficult for a couple especially if they just met only for 2 weeks. But the movie shows it didn't matter how long you have known each to make this work. Patience, trust and understanding are the keys for a true love.

“True love comes to those who patiently wait.”

I have read some goofs from this movie. A magic pen, Alan suddenly disappeared from the movie etc. Maybe they are very excited for the ending hehehe.

My rate: with goofs, 6 out of ten. Hindi smooth ang daloy ng eksena. Biglang may magbabago at may ibang mawawala. But for the story, 10. :)

It shouldn’t be watched by teens aged 18 years old and below. Why? It has many nude scenes. It’s starring Ashton Kutcher (Nikki) who acted as a serial womanizer. He’s also homeless and jobless, kaya wag ding ipapanood sa mga bata. But when he realized his true love, it was too late. A BIG LOSER. All guys should watch this, it’s a wake-up call lalo na sa mga hindi nagseseryoso sa mga babae.

Ashton has a poor acting on this movie, according to other reviews. Pero feeling ko, siyang siya nga e. Effortless heheheh. I also like Samantha’s house, Nikki’s FB (fucking buddy). A very modern type tas well ventilated. Parang ang super presko sa loob.

I like how the movie ended. The so-called KARMA. After nun saka siya nagpursigido na magtrabaho. Nagbago na din siya.

Disregard to other reviews, I can say it’s still a good movie. Makatotohanan kasi. At totoo din ang karma. :)

THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG

It’s a 2D animated film. I felt like I’m watching cartoon movie way back 1990’s. I was kinda surprised because I thought I will be watching a 3D animated film like Finding Nemo. Looking at the poster kasi parang 3D e. Seems to be a low-budgeted film.

First thing I like about the movie is, the main character is black. As in negra na may pangong ilong. (That’s when I realize, bakit lahat ng negro e may pangong ilong?) Second is, they have this “making dreams come true” theme. A typical waitress wanting to have her own restaurant. and shempre as ended natupad naman yun. *SPOILER ALERT*

And third: If you will think that this movie is all about the princess and the frog, then you better watch it. :) Though it was inspired by The Frog Princess, they made it more exciting and adventurous. The twist, thumbs up! And as with the other fairy tales, they ended happily ever after. (I’m wondering is there any fairy tale that didn’t end up as happily ever after?)

My rate as 10 being the highest, I can give them 7.

Mood: I hope it’s not bad for my first movie review. (^o^)
